If you are participating in an Assessment process involving Brain Metrics Initiative, you will have been in contact with another party who is our Customer (typically a potential employer, current employer or recruiter).
Brain Metrics Initiative and/or a Customer will forward a link in an email which will enable you to sign in to the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment. When you sign in and activate your user account (“Account”) on the Brain Metrics Initiative website, you may be asked to provide or confirm certain pieces of personal information, which may include one or more of the following:
First and last name, e-mail address. You may also be asked to provide your demographic information or evaluation information for Brain Metrics Initiative itself. However, providing such information will always be voluntary and you will always be asked to give your consent before providing this type of data. You have the right to refuse to provide such data and doing so will not have any consequences on your progression through the Candidate journey, completing the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment or your results.
In certain cases we collect a Candidate’s first name, last name and email address in relation to a Customer that is operating an initial web-based version of the service or in other cases where Candidates contact us directly with a technical support query, we may receive their name, email, and telephone number.
We collect access credentials in relation to authorized users of the Customer including title, first name, last name, email, password and Company (Business) Name and details.
With regard to each Candidate who visits the Brain Metrics Initiative website or a Customer contact accessing to we may automatically collect the following information:
When you are making a payment via PayPal, we collect the first name, last name and email address connected with the PayPal account. When you are making a payment via Braintree, we collect the first name, last name and 4 last digits of your credit card and its expiration date.

Analytics services (non-personally identifiable information only): We use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Platform. These tools collect information sent by your device or our Platform, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that assists us in improving the Platform. The tools use ‘cookies’, which are text files placed on your device, to collect your log information and behavior information in an anonymous form. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other Users so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual User. The Special Category Data we collect includes the results of the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment, such as cognitive skills and personality traits. While overtaking the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment we may also collect information and data related to your behavior and actions during the process of the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment, including metadata about your real-time user interaction with the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment. The data collected from the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment may be subject to profiling and automated decision making.
All profiling is undertaken by suitable algorithms that act in the same way for every individual. The only information used to create profiles is the information you as a Candidate provide. We do not include information from third parties. Profiles are designed to help aid the decisions of humans, the platform does not make automatic decisions itself. Consent will be required from the candidate prior to any Assessment taking place. On completion of the Brain Metrics Initiative Assessments, reports are generated with the following information visible to the Customer: Name of candidate (unless we are requested to keep this confidential); Cognitive score and / or personality traits; A general Match Score may also be provided by Brain Metrics Initiative for single Candidates or groups of Candidates as requested by our Customer.
Should you not consent to any or all of this data being exchanged with the Customer on your behalf, said data shall not be sent. If a candidate withdraws consent to process data during an Assessment, that Assessment will be closed and no processing activities or data exchange with the Customer will occur.
We will store Assessment results for the duration of their validity (two years). If you wish to remove these test results prior to the two-year retention period, you can do so by submitting a written request via email at [email protected].
We may require you to confirm your identity prior to deleting these files, after which, all files in question will be deleted within five (5) working days.
You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which produces legal or similarly significant effects. How we help: The data we collect is not necessarily used in automatic decision making. In case our Customer uses automated decision making, you may require human intervention. Please contact the Customer who invited you to complete a Brain Metrics Initiative Assessment.
